Thieves broke a wardrobe locker and stole a large quantity of expensive jewellery from a house in Guru Arjun Dev Nagar.

Division-7 police station has registered a case against the unidentified accused based on the resident Anita Seth’s complaint.

Anita said she had stored her valuable jewellery in a secret locker inside the wardrobe and alleged that an unidentified person entered the house in her absence to commit the robbery.

Upon discovering the broken locker, she found that four gold sets, four gold bangles, four gold chains, 10 diamond and gold rings, diamond tops, 11 gold earrings and tops, one gold coin and 30 tola of silver jewellery were missing.

The police are going through footage from the CCTV cameras installed in the area. Officials say the case will be solved soon.
