The Ludhiana District Badminton Tournament will be held at Shastri Hall, near Guru Nanak Stadium, here, from October 23 to 26. The event will be organised by an interim committee, constituted by the Punjab Badminton Association and headed by Amarjit Bains, ADC and chairman, with members namely Dr Sulbha Jindal, Gagan Kapila, Tarun Arora and Anand Tiwari.

The tournament is set to become one of the biggest district-level competition in recent years, offering cash prizes worth Rs 7 lakh across multiple categegories, ranging from U-11 to the veteran.

Bains commended the efforts of the organising committee for their planning and coordination, ensuring transparency and professionalism in execution.

“With enthusiastic participation expected from schools, academies and clubs across the city, the tournament is poised to reaffirm Ludhiana’s position as a hub of badminton talent in the state,” said Sulbha Jindal, member secretary of the organising interim committee.
