District’s five best schools, 76 primary teachers honoured

Today, Ludhiana District Education Officer (Elementary) Ravinder Kaur and Deputy District Education Officer Manoj Kumar organised a ceremony to honour the best primary schools, teachers, block coordinators and resource persons in the district.

Five best schools of the district were honoured, along with 76 primary teachers, including CHT, HT, ETT and associate teachers from each block. Nine block coordinators and 11 resource persons were also feted.

The process for selecting these schools lasted several days. First, the heads of these institutions applied in order to compete. After this, they pitched presentations to a deciding committee at the district level for the final selection.

Similar to the process of the schools’ selection, the verification of teachers who were nominated by the block primary education officers was conducted by officials at the district level and four best teachers from each block were awarded.

Apart from this, 10 best block coordinators who did excellent work in academic support groups were honoured. The best resource person award was also bestowed upon those teachers who worked as resource persons with the academic support team at block levels.

Speaking during the programme today, DEO Ravinder Kaur said the department had started a campaign to motivate those schools and teachers who were performing well in every field. Keeping in line with the initiative, she said, they were proud to honour the best teachers for the second time this year. The work of motivating the teachers who were doing good work would continue, she said. She said that Ludhiana had always been at the forefront of education and admissions and it was the teachers of the district who ensured that it remained so. She urged all the teachers to increase enrolments with dedication and provide high-quality education to students.

Meanwhile, Deputy District Education Officer Manoj Kumar congratulated the winners and motivated them to do their work with complete honesty. During the felicitation ceremony, district resource coordinator Manmeet Pal Singh, district MIS coordinator Vishal Kumar, all BPEOs, superintendent Mahinder Singh and office staff were present.

The top best schools in the district included, Government Primary School, Motinagar; Government Primary School, Ghungrali Rajputan; Government Primary School, Hasanpur; Government Primary school, Kanganwal; Government Primary School, Savaddi Kalan.
