DMCH announces MBBS scholarships

DMC & Hospital announced 15 scholarships in memory of Brij Mohan Lall Munjal, former president of the DMC&H Managing Society, as part of his centenary birth anniversary celebrations. These scholarships will provide financial support to the top 15 meritorious students who will get admission in the MBBS programme for the academic year 2024.

Under the scholarship, the student whose family’s income is Rs 20 lakh or less, will be provided the full tuition fee of Rs 22,54,100 by DMC&H and for student whose family’s income is above Rs 20 lakh, a scholarship of Rs 13 lakh will be provided. Bipin Gupta, secretary, DMC&H Managing Society, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, adding that the programme was a tribute to the former president.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
