Eight arrested in snatching incidents

The Sahnewal police have arrested four persons, Akashdeep Singh, Rajvir Singh, Vijay Kumar and Ranjit for snatching incidents in Sahnewal and Ludhiana.

The police have taken them on two-day police remand. They have seized six mobiles, one iron rod, a sharp weapon, and two motorcycles from them.

The suspects were involved in several snatching incidents and four cases have already been registered against Akashdeep

at police stations while one case is registered against Rajvir

and four cases are registered against Vijay Kumar.

Meanwhile, the Ludhiana crime wing 1 have arrested Shubham Rana, a resident of Daba, Devinder Singh of Daba Lohara, Pankaj, a resident of Guru Nanak Colony, Daba, and Talwinder Singh of Giaspura for their involvement in snatching incidents in city areas. The police have recovered a motorcycle, a Maruti Brezza vehicle, a logo of the Punjab Police and other items from the four youths. The suspects are taken on police remand.
