Employee of Eastman firm kidnapped, robbed

A person from Kerala, who works in the Eastman Cast and Forge Limited here, was allegedly kidnapped and robbed by a gang near Sahnewal on Tuesday evening.
As per sources, Roy is an employee of Eastman Cast and Forge Limited. Roy was allegedly kidnapped on Tuesday by some miscreants who arrived in two autorickshaws. They had attacked him and took his belongings.

Some onlookers came to the victim’s rescue and informed the police. The Sahnewal police reached the spot and one of them was nabbed and while others managed to escape.
The onlookers shared that such snatching incidents had become commonplace and the public dreaded moving out at odd hours.
Sahnewal police station SHO Jagdev Singh said the police would register a case after recording the statement of the victim,

He adde that they had detained one in this regard and more persons were being identified.
