Leaders of various political parties have been called upon to help the administration in conducting the election in an independent, impartial, transparent, peaceful and democratic manner.
Showing satisfaction over the functioning of the government machinery during submission of nomination papers for Zila Parishad and Block Samitis at various returning offices falling under Malerkotla, Amargarh and Ahmedgarh subdivisions, Manpreet Kaur claimed that no complaint regarding any anomaly was received from any of the aspirants or their supporters till Thursday.
“So far, we have received no complaint by any of the aspirants or their supporters even as we are trying to contact them personally,” she said, adding that she was available at her camp office at Arihant Mill Guest House from 11.30 am to 1 pm. She welcomed suggestions and complaints on her phone number 98883-71178.
DC-cum-District Election Officer Viraj S Tidkey said that 50 nominations had been received for the ten zones of Zila Parishad while the total number of nominations for the election to three Block Samitis was 182.
