Babbu Maan, Kulwinder Billa, Kanwar Grewal, Pukhraj Bhalla, Karamjit Anmol, and Malkit Rauni were among dozens of stars from the Punjabi music industry who paid tribute to Rajvir at his residence.

Police personnel remained on high alert, making arrangements to manage the growing number of mourners arriving from across Punjab and neighbouring states, including Haryana and Rajasthan.

Several police officers who had served with Jawanda during his tenure in Ludhiana police were seen consoling friends and family, many of them visibly emotional.

DSP (D) Inderjit Singh Boparai, stationed outside the Jawanda residence, recalled the singer’s dedication: “Rajvir and his late father Karam Singh both served with me in Ludhiana (Rural) police. They were deeply committed to their duties while also pursuing their love for music and social work.”

Meanwhile, local residents, led by village sarpanch Harpreet Singh Raju, extended support to the influx of visitors, with many opening their homes to offer rest and relief to those who had travelled long distances to attend the funeral.

The local administration remained on high alert, managing security and making arrangements to accommodate the growing number of mourners arriving from across Punjab and neighbouring states, including Haryana and Rajasthan.

Family members, friends, and villagers had begun gathering on Wednesday evening when Rajvir’s body was brought to the village.

His mother, Paramjit Kaur, widely known in the village as the sarpanch, is inconsolable. Her grief is compounded by the earlier loss of her husband, Karam Singh, an Assistant Sub-Inspector in the Punjab Police, who passed away a few years ago.

Rajvir Jawanda is survived by his widowed mother, wife, and two children.
