Members of the Bhartiya Kisan Union Ekta (Ugrahan) staged protest outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner and submitted a memorandum highlighting the shortage of DAP fertilizer and other issues.

They urged the government to ensure timely supply of fertilizers to farmers.

They said the sale of fake fertilizers should be stopped immediately and strict legal action should be taken against the manufacturers and dealers.

Nano fertilizers should be banned, and the supply of traditional fertilizers should be ensured through cooperative societies as per demand.

The leaders said the government’s delay in providing fertilizers allowed private companies to exploit farmers, forcing them to buy fertilisers at exorbitant prices and with other unnecessary products. They warned that if their demands were not met, farmers would be forced to launch a struggle.
