The Ludhiana rural police claimed to have nabbed four shooters, who had recently demanded extortion from an NRI, a native of Pandori village, near Dakha. An extortion call was also received by the NRI from some Haryana-based gangster, now staying abroad.

Police sources said gangster Harry Boxer had demanded Rs 5 crore extortion from the NRI. When the amount was not given, the suspect had sent his shooters who fired shots outside the house of the victim. When the shooting occurred, NRI’s wife and children were present inside the house. Fortunately, nobody suffered any bullet injury in the firing.

The police said technical investigation conducted by the police in the case led to the cracking of the case.
