Civil Surgeon Dr Ramandeep Kaur has advised the public to wear masks in crowded or poorly ventilated spaces. “If experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, or difficulty in breathing, people should isolate themselves, wear a mask and consult the nearest health centre,” she said.

She further emphasised the importance of taking precautionary measures, stating that everyone should maintain hand hygiene, avoid unnecessary gatherings and ensure proper ventilation in indoor spaces.
