Gagandeep to lead volleyball team in National Games

Gagandeep Singh has been selected to lead Punjab men’s volleyball team in the 38th National Games which opened in Uttarakhand today. Competition in volleyball will be held at Rudharpur from January 29 to February 2.

Punjab team members gathered here at SCD Government College ground before their departure to take part in the games. Usha, wife of late Raj Kumar, general secretary, Punjab Volleyball Association, along with other office-bearers of the body, were present on the occasion and wished the players good luck. A message from Gurjit Aujla, MP from Amritsar and president of the association, was read out, also wishing the team good luck for the National Games.

The members of the team are Gagandeep Singh (captain), Baljeet Singh, Jaskaran Singh, Haranmol Singh, Arjun Singh, Dheeraj, Preet Karan, Jasjodh Singh, Amrinder Pal Singh, Devinder Deep Singh, Sachin, Prince, Sanjay Malik and Hardeep Kumar.

Jagdeep Singh and Sunil Kumar will accompany the team as coaches, while Ravinder Singh will go along with the squad as manager.
