Govind National College wins ‘Overall’ trophy at PU sports event

Members of various sports teams of the Govind National College, Narangwal, brought laurels to the institute by emerging the overall winner at the annual sports of Punjab University in ‘B’ Division.
Sandeep Sawhney, principal of the college, led the students when the organisers of the annual sports event presented the Overall Trophy.

Sawhney said coordinated and persistent efforts made by the students and teachers had fetched laurels to the institutes. “Earlier, too, students have been bringing laurels to the college and achieving great heights, and we hope that coordinated efforts made in the right direction will continue bringing success,” said Sawhney. Cycling, basketball, cricket and kabaddi were the areas in which the students exhibited outstanding performance. — OC
