A trader was kidnapped from Janakpuri market on Thursday night. Four to five persons came in a car, forcibly bundled trader into the car and went away.

After the information reached the police, senior police officials arrived at the scene and started the investigation.

ADCP Jagbinder Singh said Surjit Dinkar Patel is a native of Gujarat and runs a garment trading business in the Ahluwalia complex in Janakpuri. He has been running the business here for the past four to five months and lives alone. The victim reportedly has a money dispute with some persons and the said persons are suspected to be behind kidnapping. The number of the car (PB10JD9393) is being traced. Alert was also sounded in Ludhiana and nakabandi was undertaken.
