Sources said the Gulzar Group had committed a fraud with JIS Education Group of Kolkata. A deal was made between them about three years ago and Rs 25 crore was taken by the Gulzar Group. As the latter was not returning the money, the disputing parties had reached a settlement. Under the agreement, the owners of Gulzar Group had to return all payments by March 3, 2024. While interest was also to be paid on the payment. But the suspects failed to make the payment. Afterwards, the aggrieved party adopted the legal route and got registered a case against them in Kolkata.

On Saturday night, the Kolkata police, with the help of the local police, conducted a raid and nabbed the brothers.
