Faculty members of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University were honoured at the XXII Convocation-cum-National Scientific Convention by the National Academy of Veterinary Sciences (NAVS), India, held at the Veterinary College, Bengaluru.

Dr BK Bansal, former dean, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul, was conferred with the Dr KK Baxi Outstanding Scientist Award for his remarkable contributions to vterinary sciences. Dr RS Sethi, Additional Director, Research, and Dr HS Banga, former registrar, were honoured with the prestigious NAVS fellowships for their outstanding achievements in their fields.

Dr Jaswinder Singh, head of department, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension Education, was bestowed with the Dr RK Sharma Memorial Award for his excellence in veterinary extension education. K Venkatesh, Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture, Government of Karnataka, was the chief guest.

Dr Randhir Singh, Dr Vishal Mahajan, Dr Rajesh Wagh, Dr Chandra Sekhar Mukhopadhay and Dr Vikrant Sudan, won the associate fellowship and membership of the NAVS.
