Harsimarjit Singh Lucky has been elected the president of United Cycle and Parts Manufacturers’ Association (UCPMA). The elections for Asia’s largest bicycle manufacturing body, the UCPMA, were held in city today and the results were declared tonight.

The other winners on key posts include senior vice president Jaswinder Singh Thukral (DS Chawla Group), vice president Inderjit Singh Navyug (Lucky Group), general secretary Varun Kapoor (DS Chawla Group), joint secretary Surinder Singh Sonu Naz (Lucky Group), secretary Rajinder Singh Sarali (Lucky Group), propaganda secretary Manoj Dua (Lucky Group), and Satnam Makkar (Lucky Group) as finance secretary.

The prestigious elections of bicycle manufacturers and parts manufacturers are held once every two years. The election observer, Manjinder Singh, told The Tribune that a good number of members came forward to cast their votes today. “Everything was aligned and under control. The members reached out to cast votes. The UCPMA elections are held once in two years,” he said. The main groups competing in the poll were SS Lucky Group and DS Chawla group.
