Heeran and Attiana players scripted easy victories in their respective matches to record their second win on the third day of the ongoing of the Aryan Cup Hockey Tournament for Boys U-16, being organised by the Aryan Hockey Club in the memory of former hockey player Jagbir Singh Grewal at the Olympian Prithipal Singh Stadium of the Punjab Agricultural University here on Thursday.

Gurwinder Singh scored a hat-trick to enable Heeran XI stitch up a comfortable 9-0 win over Gursar Sudhar. Armandeep Singh scored two goals while Gagampreet Singh, Joban Singh, Amneet Singh and Rajvir Singh accounted for one goal each. This was second defeat in a row for Gurusar Sudhar lads.

In the second match, Attiana beat Nathowal without being challenged (6-0). The winners went ahead in the 6th minute through a field goal scored by Gurmeet Singh, Gagandeep Singh sounded the board in quick succession (12th and 16th minute) to read the score board 3-0.

Amandeep Singh converted a penalty corner in the 47th minute to increase the lead 4-0. Two minutes later, Gagandeep found the target for the third time and in the 52nd minute, Prince struck to complete the rout. For Nathowal boys, this was the third loss from as many matches and they are almost out of contest.
