An FIR has been registered at the Sarabha Nagar police station against Hero Realty Private Limited director Sunil Kant Munjal and sales head Nikhil Jain for alleged fraud and irregularities in the company’s Hero Homes project in Ludhiana.

In his complaint, Falitash Jain, a resident of New Madhopuri, Ludhiana, stated that he had purchased four flats in the project project and paid approximately Rs 2.41 crore to Hero Realty at its office in Okhla Industrial Estate, New Delhi.

Falitash alleged that the company did not complete the construction of the flats despite receiving the full payment and thereby defrauded him through a conspiracy.

The complainant said he had reported the matter to senior police officers, following which an investigation was conducted. Based on the findings, police registered a case under Sections 406 (criminal breach of trust), 420 (cheating) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code against the company officials.

Police said a detailed investigation is underway.
