A delegation from the Hindu community met the Ludhiana Police Commissioner and demanded cancellation of cases registered against its leaders including Praveen Dang. The delegation submitted a memorandum after which the police assured them that the matter would be investigated and cases would be cancelled if found to be false.

The delegation comprised representatives from various Hindu organisations, including Sant Samaj, Hindu Nyaya Peeth, Shiv Sena Hindustan, Arya Pratinidhi Sabha and others. Members of the delegation alleged that cases were registered to prevent Hindu leaders from organising a programme to promote Hinduism. The programme, which was scheduled to be held on November 19, was meant to promote teachings of Hinduism and organise recitation of the Hanuman Chalisa.

The delegation demanded that the police should take action against those responsible for registering false cases against Hindu leaders.
