Homeopathy Day observed

World Homeopathy Day was celebrated in the district under the guidance of Dr Harinderpal Singh, director of homoeopathy, and Dr Gurdarshan Kaur, district homoeopathic officer.

Every year the day is observed on April 10 to mark the birthday of Dr Samuel Hanneman, the founder of homoeopathy. Employees from four districts, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Moga and SBS Nagar, participated in the function.

The event started with paying tributes to Dr Hanneman. Homoeopathic doctors delivered lectures on various health related topics and homoeopathy. Dr Harinderpal felicitated employees from the department for their services. Ayurvedic doctors Dr Hemant and Dr Mohandeep also graced the occasion.

Dr Harinderpal assured the employees to provide medicines and computer with homoeopathic software for doctors to provide better services to patients. He further added that a government homoeopathic college would be started soon in the district. A group of interns from lord Mahavira Homoeopathic College also participated in the function.
