On checking, the stock of sweets was found to be of suspicious quality, following which the entire consignment was seized on the spot by the police.

The seized items included around three quintals of milk cake, 210 kg of khoya barfi, 50 kg of laddoo, 5 kg of dodha, and 10 kg of rasgulla.

A total of five samples were collected and sent to the State Food Laboratory for analysis. Appropriate legal action will be taken based on the laboratory test results of the samples.
