Municipal Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal visited Focal Point and adjoining industrial areas on Thursday to assess the scope for improving infrastructure. Accompanied by a group of industrialists representing different Focal Point associations and civic body officials, MC Commissioner Dachalwal remained in the field for around eight hours and visited Phase 4, 4-A, 5, 6, 7, 8, Industrial area-C, 34 Acres Scheme of Focal Point, Jaspal Bangar road and Eastman chowk, among others.

Receiving feedback from the industrialists, the MC Commissioner stressed upon improving sewer and road infrastructure, developing parks/green belts, street lights, clearing encroachments, ensuring proper lifting of garbage and tightening noose around illegal constructions, among other issues. Necessary instructions were issued to the staff of the civic body. Dachalwal said that the aim of the visit was to improve the infrastructure and resolve the problems being faced by industrialists in Focal Point and nearby industrial areas.

Dachalwal said that the staff concerned has been directed to take measures for improvement at the ground level, proposals in this regard would also be discussed with senior officials at the state level. MC Superintending Engineer Parveen Singla, industrialists Rahul Ahuja, Upkar Singh Ahuja and OP Bassi were among those present.
