Jarkhar Sports Festival to be held from Feb 7

This was announced by Narinderpal Singh Sidhu and Jagroop Singh Jarkhar, chairman and chief organizer, respectively, of Mata Sahib Kaur Sports and Charitable Trust, after its meeting was held at the main stadium of Jarkhar village. The meeting was called to review the arrangements made for the sports extravaganza.
They said that Avon Cycles, Coca Cola, Dabur and City University, along with some corporate houses, were sponsoring the festival.
During the three-day festival, competitions in hockey (boys and girls), hockey (sub-junior boys U-15), kabaddi, volleyball and tug-of-war, besides other disciplines, would be held. The winners in different games would be given 50 bicycles.
