The 75th Junior Punjab Basketball Championship for boys and girls will be held at Gurusar Sudhar near here from October 31 to November 3. The championship is being organised by the Sri Guru Har Gobind Sahib Sports Club of Gurusar Sudhar, under the aegis of the Punjab Basketball Association (PBA).

According to Teja Singh Dhaliwal, general secretary, PBA, 22 teams will take part in both the categories during the four-day championship. These teams have qualified from five zones.

Though the matches will start in the morning, the formal inauguration will be done by Dr Ankur Gupta, SSP, Ludhiana (Rural), at 4 pm, said Dhaliwal.
