Khalsa College for Women (KCW), Civil Lines, Ludhiana, stamped their supremacy by retaining the title in the Panjab University Inter-College Basketball Championship for Women, organised by the KCW here at Guru Nanak Stadium. This was the third consecutive title win for the KCW players.

Teams from nine colleges, affiliated to the PU, Chandigarh, competed in this championship in which KCW players displayed exceptional talent, teamwork and competitive spirit and eventually emerged triumphant. SGGGS College, Sector 26, Chandigarh, finished runner-up while the Panjab University team secured third position.

Teja Singh Dhaliwal, general secretary, Punjab Basketball Association, was the chief guest at the final. Kamaljit Grewal, principal, KCW, congratulated the students on this outstanding achievement. She also appreciated efforts of the Sports Department in holding the event.
