Khanna bizman shoots at wife

A businessman, a resident of Khanna, shot at his wife at Radha Enclave, Amloh road, Khanna.

The woman was admitted to the DMCH in a critical state. She has been identified as 53-year-old Anjali Kaushal.

The suspect, Varinder Kaushal, was reportedly under the influence of liquor. He used to fight with his wife. The family had a gas agency but it facing losses due to which the man was under depression.

Their daughter stays in Canada. On Wednesday, Anjali went to her parent’s house. She returned around 12 midnight and called her parents and told them that the suspect was abusing and beating her.

When her brother reached the place, Varinder fired shots at Anjali with his licensed weapon. After firing, he fled the scene while her brother rushed Anjali to the Civil Hospital from where she was referred to a Chandigarh hospital. But he took her to the DMCH, Ludhiana. The Khanna police is probing the matter.
