The Khanna police claimed to have nabbed four drug peddlers and recovered huge quantities of drugs and narcotics from their possession.

The police seized 500 gm of ICE drug and 165 gm of heroin from Abhishek Kumar Abhi and Navdeep Singh Navi, both from Payal, and Dharamveer Banti Gujjar of Doraha and Harman of New Subhash Nagar Basti Chowk, here. Mohit of Ferozepur is yet to be arrested.

SSP Jyoti Yadav said police personnel, supervised by Payal DSP Hemant Malhotra, had nabbed Abhishek during a checking and seized 15 gm of heroin from him two days ago.

It was during investigation that three other suspects were identified and the police recovered 500 gm of ICE and 150 of heroin, besides a car used in crime, from their possession.

Appreciating coordinated efforts made by the police in breaking the drug supply chain, the SSP said special teams of the police had been constituted under supervision of SP (I) Pawan Jit and DSP (I) Mohit Singla, which are keeping a close watch on activities of anti-social elements and their sympathisers.
