Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan: Yadvi, Palakpreet emerge winners in 500m time trial

Palakpreet Kaur of Amritsar and Yadvi from Patiala stamped their supremacy by winning top positions in the 500m time trial event in the girls’ U-14 and U-21 categories, respectively, in track cycling competition during the 3rd state-level Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan here today.

The event is being organised by the Punjab Sports Department with the help of the district administration at the Punjab Agricultural University velodrome.

Lakisha Dhiman from Mohali and Bhumi Brar from Bathinda claimed second and third spots, respectively, in the U-14 category, while Damanpreet Kaur from Amritsar and Kritika from Ludhiana bagged second and third positions, respectively, in the U-21 category.

1,000m time trial (boys 21-30 yrs): Harsimranjit Singh (Barnala) 1st, Danishvir Singh (Ludhiana) 2nd and Karanpreet Singh (Ludhiana) 3rd.

20km point race (men 31-40 yrs): Sarpreet Singh (Patiala) 1st, Gurbaj Singh (Gurdaspur) 2nd and Satbir Singh (Amritsar) 3rd.
