The torch relay of the fourth edition of Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan was conducted in Ludhiana on Friday with great enthusiasm, coinciding with the celebration of National Sports Day.

The relay commenced from the Ludhiana-Moga border and passed through Aarti Chowk, Ghumar Mandi Chowk, Khalsa College for Women, Fountain Chowk and SBI before concluding at Guru Nanak Stadium.

Teja Singh Dhaliwal, general secretary, Punjab Basketball Association, Sukhdev Singh Pannu, Daronacharya awardee, Kuldeep Chugh, District Sports Officer, Prof Rajinder Singh along with coaches Sanjiv Sharma (athletics) and Satvinder Vicky (cycling) received the torch at the stadium.

Dignitaries, and athletes celebrated National Sports Day and took a pledge to promote fitness and discipline.
