Jivan Lata, a student of Gobindgarh Public College, has become a beacon of determination and excellence. With unwavering willpower, she has carved her name as a formidable weightlifter and powerlifter. Her journey from inter-university competitions to national and international arenas has inspired countless young athletes across the country.

She has triumphed on prestigious platforms, winning a gold medal at the All India Inter-University Weightlifting Championship and also securing a bronze medal at the same competition in a separate category. Additionally, she claimed the gold medals at the North-East Inter-University and All India Inter-University Weightlifting Championship (2024–2025). At the Senior State Weightlifting Championship, she showcased consistency by winning one gold and two silver medals. She has also made her mark at the Khedan Wattan Punjab state-level games, where she secured a gold, silver and a bronze medal, in addition to dominating at the Kheda Wattan Punjab district-level games with three gold medals. Her dominance is further proven by her outstanding record as a seven-time gold medallist at the district weightlifting championship.

Lata represented India at the World Powerlifting Championship in Berlin, Germany. She has clinched three gold medals at the Senior National Powerlifting Championship, two at the Junior National Championship, and two at the North India Championship. She is also a seven-time gold medallist at the Senior State Powerlifting Championship and has been crowned Punjab’s “Strong Woman” on five occasions. In addition, she secured two gold medals at the Junior State Championship and an impressive five gold medals at the district championship. Her journey is a tale of grit, a never-give-up attitude and the ability to bounce back from setbacks.
