He also received the prestigious GYM Reporter Award, making him one of the most decorated participants at the event.
The Olympiad saw participation from 31 countries, including the USA, Japan, Germany, China and Australia. Team India, supported by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, secured a total of seven medals and one special award — an achievement that reflects the country’s growing strength in science education and innovation.
Rayansh’s accomplishment is not just a personal milestone, but a beacon of inspiration for young learners across India. “This win means the world to me,” said Rayansh. “Sat Paul Mittal School has given me wings to dream big. Our principal Bhupinder Gogia has always encouraged me to explore beyond textbooks. I want to pursue sciences and have a deep interest in astronomy — it’s the vastness of space that excites me.”
His mother Sheefali Gupta echoed the sentiment with quiet pride. “Rayansh has always been curious and driven, but the school environment truly nurtured his potential. The support from teachers and the principal has been unwavering. As a parent, seeing your child shine on a global platform is overwhelming.”
