Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Sandeep Rishi distributed appointment letters to the next of kin of 48 employees who had died while on duty in the recent past.

The newly appointed employees include seven clerks and Class IV employees such as sanitation workers and sweepers. The employees were hired based on their educational qualifications.

During an event on Friday at the MC Zone D office, Rishi handed over the appointment letters to the next of kin of the deceased employees. MC Joint Commissioner Inderpal, CSO Ashwani Sahota, Superintendent (Establishment) Surinder Kumar and Superintendent Tarun Goyal were also present on the occasion.

While motivating the newly appointed employees to work with transparency and efficiency, Rishi stated that the employees had been posted in different zones of the MC as per requirement.

Rishi also directed the officials to organise training sessions for the new employees to apprise them of the MC’s functioning.
