Ludhiana, Moga share honours in artistic skating

Skaters from Ludhiana and those from Moga won the maximum positions in the Punjab Artistic Roller Skating Championship held at the Leisure Valley Rink, Sarabha Nagar, here yesterday.

The promising skaters (boys and girls) competed in various skating events in different age groups, which combined aspects such as turns, edges, dance and field moves, with creative spins and the ability to project emotion and artistry. The winners were given prizes by MLA Gurpreet Singh Gogi.

Results

Boys’ (5-7) freestyle: Shivay (Moga) 1st, Nivek Jain (Moga) 2nd and Samarveer (Ludhiana) 3rd.

Solo dance: Nivek Jain (Moga) 1st, Shivay (Moga) 2nd and Samarveer (Ludhiana) 3rd.

Figure skating: Gurpreet (Moga) 1st and Avijeevan (Moga) 2nd.

Boys’ (7-9) freestyle: Prasann Preet Singh Parmar (Ludhiana) 1st and Saish Khurana (Moga) 2nd.

Solo dance: Saish Khurana (Moga) 1st and Prasanpreet Singh (Ludhiana) 2nd.

Figure skating: Saish Khurana (Moga) 1st and Prasanpreet Singh (Ludhiana) 2nd.

Girls’ (5-7) freestyle: Adhya Narang (Ludhiana) 1st, Takshita Sharma (Moga) 2nd and Savreen Kaur (Ludhiana) 3rd.

Solo dance: Adhya Narang (Ludhiana) 1st, Savreen Kaur (Ludhiana) 2nd and Takshita Sharma (Moga) 3rd.

Figure skating: Adhya Narang (Ludhiana) 1st and Takshita Sharma (Moga) 2nd.

Girls’ (U-11) pair: Takshita Sharma and Shivay (Moga) 1st, Samarveer and Savreen Kaur (Ludhiana) 2nd.
