Ludhiana: School bus rams into tree, student killed              

The deceased was identified as Gurman Singh, a student of class 1

A seven-year-old student was killed while five others sustained injuries after a school bus rammed into a tree in Jagraon, about 50 km from here.

Police said the incident took place when the driver of the school bus lost control over the over-speeding vehicle.

The deceased was identified as Gurman Singh, a student of class 1.

Bus was on the way to drop students at school.

Deceased student Gurman Singh was a resident of Akhara village. The collision was so intense that front part of the bus was completely damaged.

As soon as information about the accident was received, the families of the children from the villages reached the spot. Due to the accident, long traffic jam took place on the road.

Some parents also levelled allegations that bus driver was drunk. Parents also blocked the road alleging inaction of police against the school buses and drivers.
