Sandeep Sharma, Surkhab’s father and district language officer, shared that the young poet’s journey into literature began through his deep interest in art, colours and imagery — an influence reflected in his poetic expression. “Surkhab is a very sensitive person, who has always viewed the world with a keen eye, observing the minutest details and processing them in a unique way. The same is evident in his collection, where he has tried to portray the world around him and bring to life the intricacies of human experience through his words,” added the proud father.

School president JPS Jolly, chairperson Satinderjeet Jolly, vice-president Navera Jolly and principal Ms Suzzy George congratulated and felicitated the young and budding poet Surkhab.

“Surkhab has surprised everyone with his debut poetry collection that delves into the complexities of human relationships, mythology and the absurd. His poetry explores the emotional landscape of human connections, weaving together themes and imagery that are both relatable and thought-provoking. The inclusion of mythical elements adds a fascinating layer of depth, while his use of absurdity showcases his creative and playful approach to poetry. Writing with such maturity and insight at the tender age of a Class X student is truly remarkable,” expressed the president of the school JPS Jolly.
