Officials from the fire brigade said they were alerted around 1:20 pm and quickly dispatched a fire tender to the location. The blaze was brought under control within minutes, preventing it from spreading further.

The car belonged to Dilbag Rai, a resident of the house. He said that the fire was triggered by a suspected short-circuit. “Luckily, the vehicle was parked near the lawn, and all of us were inside the house when it happened. None of us were hurt,” he added.

Residents from nearby houses rushed out after noticing the flames, fearing for the family’s safety. Fortunately, the fire was confined to the car.
