A meeting of Malwa Cultural Forum, Punjab, was held under the chairmanship of president of the forum Rajiv Kumar Lovely, chairperson of the women’s ming of the Forum Simmi Kwatra and chairman Krishan Kumar Bawa.

Nirmal Singh Grewal was appointed as the president of Manch, US, while Ranjit Singh was appointed as Manch Convenor, Sukhwinder Singh Basami as general secretary of Manch, Bibi Sukhwinder Bawa as convener of Women’s Wing of manch, Jagjeevan Singh Gharib, Ashok Varmani, Mani Khiva, Swaranjit Singh was appointed Secretary Manch.

Bawa and Lovely said the 29th “Dhiyan Da Lohri Mela” will be held on January 11 at Guru Nanak Bhawan, while a seminar on “Memories of Jasowal” will be held on January 10. He said this time there is great enthusiasm among Punjabis regarding the ‘Lohri Mela’ and the audience, artists and guests from the country and abroad will participate in the event.

He said like every year, 125 girls born in 2024 will celebrate Lohri with them. Various giddha, bhangra, musical performance would be presented.
