Man found dead in Jagraon
The body of a man was found under mysterious circumstances near abandoned shops of the Old Grain Market in Jagraon on Saturday. As per eyewitnesses, the deceased had a severe head injury and he was drenched in blood.
The police were informed after which a team from the Jagraon City police station reached the scene. After conducting a preliminary probe, the police sent the body to a government hospital for autopsy.
Sushil Kumar, a local resident, said the victim was a resident of Moga district and had been staying in the area for the past four years. He used to beg at a nearby temple and sleep in abandoned shops.
The police suspect that his death might have occurred due to a fall from a ladder. He was yet to be identified.
