In an interesting incident of car theft, a man’s car was stolen by miscreant as the victim, leaving the ignition on, went to pee.

The car, a white Mahindra XUV 300 (PB10 HQ 4302), was stolen from near the Keys Hotel.

Victim Vinod Kumar, who was going towards Phullanwal, had never imagined that stopping his car on the road would prove so costly. As per the information, the incident occured on November 16 at around 9.30 pm. The keys were left in the car, and as soon as Vinod moved away, an unknown thief sat on the driver’s seat and drove away.

Two mobile phones, a wallet (containing cash and cards), important documents, business diary and bill book were also in the car, Kumar said.

The Dugri police have registered a case and are scanning CCTV cameras. The miscreant( has not been traced yet.
