Man held with 110-gm heroin

Suspect identified as Sanjiv Kumar

The special cell of the Ludhiana police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested a man band recovered 110 gm of heroin from his possession.

The suspect was identified as Sanjiv Kumar, alias Sonu, a resident of Haibowal Kalan.

ADCP (Crime) Amandeep Singh Brar in a statement issued stated that on May 13, inspector, special cell, Navdeep Singh, had received a tip-off that the suspect, who was involved in drug smuggling, was on the way to deliver heroin to his client. Following which, the police conducted a raid and arrested the man with the drug.

A case under the NDPS Act was registered against the suspect.
