Mangal Singh from Amritsar and Simranjeet Singh of Barnala won the 100m race to emerge the fastest runners in T-37 and T-38 categories, repectively, in the ongoing 1st State-Level Para Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan, being organised by the Punjab Sports Department with the help of the district administration here on Saturday.

In the T-37 category, Balwant Singh of Muktsar and Devinder Singh of Fatehgarh Sahib secured the second and third positions, respectively, and in the T-38 category, Gaurav of Jalandhar and Manjot Sharma of Sangrur finished at the second and third spots, respectively, at the Guru Nanak Stadium.

In the F-55 category of the discus throw event, the first three positions were bagged by Vishav (Rup Nagar), Mohd Lateef (Mohali) and Kuber Singh (Mohali) while in the same category of the shot-put event, Mohd Lateef won the top position and Vishav finished as runners-up. Baljeet Kumar of Kapruthala secured the third position.

In the F-58 category, Bikramjeet Singh of Amritsar emerged victorious in the discus throw event while Rafi Mohd of Jalandhar and Sital Singh of Jalandhar finished at the second and third positions, respectively. In javelin throw (F-58 category), Sital from Jalandhar, Bikramjeet (Amritsar) and Surinder (Rup Nagar) secured the first three positions.
