The body of an unidentified man was found floating in a drain in Upkar Nagar here late on Friday evening.
A passer-by after seeing the body raised the alarm. People tried to take out the body but they were failed in their attempt as it was floating in the middle of the drain. Following which, residents of the area informed the Jagatpuri police.
Meanwhile, a earth mover was called by the police to take out the body which was in bad shape and the they suspected that it might be lying in the drain for several days.
The police launched an investigation to identify the deceased.
