MC chief asks officials to ensure cleanliness in city

Issuing strict directions to the officials concerned regarding ensuring cleanliness across the city and expediting development works, Municipal Corporation (MC) Commissioner Aaditya Dachalwal conducted a review meeting with the officials of different branches at the MC Zone-D office today.

Apart from directing them to expedite the ongoing development projects, Dachalwal directed the officials concerned of the B&R Department to submit daily reports of the ongoing road repair works in their respective areas.

Dachalwal directed the officials to conduct regular field visits to take stock of the ongoing development works and cleanliness. Directions were also issued to check the attendance of sweepers on a regular basis.

Dachalwal said that zonal commissioners had been conducting field inspections in their respective areas, but, he said, they had been asked to intensify cleanliness drives and to take feedback from the residents.

Dachalwal said he had also been conducting inspections in different parts of the city to take stock of the situation at the ground level.

MC Joint Commissioner Ankur Mahindroo, Joint Commissioner-cum-Zonal Commissioner (Zone-D) Abhishek Sharma, Assistant Commissioner-cum-Zonal Commissioner (Zone-B) Neeraj Jain, Assistant Commissioner-cum-Zonal Commissioner (Zone-C) Gurpal Singh, Chief Engineer Ravinder Garg, superintending engineers Parveen Singla, Surinder Singh, Sanjay Kanwar, Ranjit Singh, and Sham Lal Gupta, CSO Ashwani Sahota, among other officials, were present in the meeting.
