A joint team from the Municipal Corporation (MC) Zones A and B took action against illegal slaughtering in the Sherpur area. The team dismantled an illegal fish market enforcing stricter regulations in the region.

Led by Tehbazaari inspectors Sunil Kumar and Vipan Handa, the teams also removed encroachments from government land on Aarti Steel Road in the Focal Point area.

The inspectors reported that, in addition to clearing the fish market, around a dozen meat seller counters were razed. The operation also targeted temporary encroachments on government land, further ensuring the area was cleared of unauthorised establishments.
