Office-bearers of various organisations led by Municipal Council president Vikas Krishan Sharma said all law abiding migrant labourers working at various establishments and running their own ventures, have been assured of safety and security at their workplace and residence too.

However, they (migrant labourers) have been asked not to create any nuisance while dealing with natives of the state and members of their own communities.

“Having approached by the owners of establishments employing migrant labourers, we discussed the issue with senior functionaries in the administration, who assured safety and security of all residents, including migrant labourers,” said Vikas Krishan Sharma, maintaining that joint meetings of migrant labourers, their employers and councillors of respective wards were held to boost the morale of all stakeholders.
