Cabinet minister Harbhajan Singh ETO today conducted a surprise inspection of various branches of the Public Works Department (PWD), Ludhiana division, to assess employee punctuality and operational efficiency. The inspection was aimed at ensuring seamlessly functioning of the department, with a focus on timely execution of duties and projects.

During the inspection, the minister meticulously reviewed attendance registers to verify the presence of staff across different branches. He emphasised the importance of punctuality, stating that timely arrival at the workplace was essential for maintaining discipline and ensuring smooth operations. He directed employees to adhere strictly to office hours, underscoring that consistent punctuality reflected a commitment to public service and enhanced department’s credibility.

The minister also instructed officials to avoid any mismanagement in their work and to prioritise the timely completion of all ongoing projects. He highlighted that delay in project execution could weaken public trust.
