Deputy Superintendent of Police, Dakha, Varinder Khosa informed that cops led by SHO Hira Singh had been advised to probe a sequence of events leading to the unauthorised entry of three miscreants in premises of the nursing college at Sarabha on Wednesday and alleged assault on a student of the institute. Though the condition of the victim is stated to be stable, the girl informed the police that the suspects had torn her dress during the assault.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the trio had left the place on seeing some male students near the place where the incident occurred.

Maintaining that details about the identity and residence of the victim cannot be disclosed, DSP Khosa claimed that the police had initiated a probe after recording her statement and the suspects would soon be identified and nabbed.
