Three masked robbers barged into a house in Guru Nanak Nagar on Tajpur Road and after holding a 55-year-old woman captive, looted cash and other valuables. She was alone at home during the incident.

The police identified one of the suspects as Harwinder Singh of Mundian, while two of his aides are yet to be identified. Harwinder was an acquaintance of the woman and he had also visited her house a day before the robbery to know about the routine of house members.

Complainant Prem Lata said on July 9, when she was alone at home, three miscreants barged into her house and started thrashing her. They held her captive and told her that if she makes noise, they would kill her. Later, they decamped with gold ornaments, cash, the woman’s phone and other valuables.

A case has been registered aginst the suspects.
