A team of 1 Punjab R & V Squadron NCC, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), participated in the Republic Day Camp, 2025, at New Delhi. Three cadets—Gourav Sharma, Sehajpreet Chahal, and Utkarsh Deepak—from the College of Veterinary Science were selected to participate in the prestigious event.

From 12 directorates, 20 units participated in the equestrian events. Cadet Sehajpreet Chahal won a bronze medal in the novice category of the dressage event in which 25 other horses competed. She also participated in the horse contingent that took part in the Prime Minister’s rally. Cadet Gourav Sharma won a bronze medal in the novice category of the tent pegging event in which 20 horses participated. Cadet Utkarsh Deepak participated in the veteran category and gave a tough fight to his opponents.

Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor, congratulated the cadets and staff for the achievement.

Col AS Shrinivas Rao, commanding officer of the unit, praised the cadets for their dedication and courage. He also congratulated the associate NCC officers, Capt Nittin Dev Singh and Lt PP Dubey, along with the entire staff of the NCC unit.
